Immani Escrow (escrow.immanihub.com) is part of the Immani family of platforms, operated by Immani. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use Immani Escrow.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to run an escrow transaction:

• Phone numbers — yours and the other party's, to send SMS notifications and process M-Pesa payments.
• Transaction details — amount, description, terms, and status of each escrow.
• Payment information — processed by e-confirm and M-Pesa (Safaricom). We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or full payment credentials.

3. How we use your information

• To create, fund, and complete escrow transactions
• To send you SMS notifications about your escrow
• To prevent fraud and resolve disputes
• To comply with Kenyan law, including the Data Protection Act, 2019

4. Sharing your information

We share information only with:

• e-confirm — our escrow payment partner, to create and process transactions
• Safaricom (M-Pesa) — to process payments and payouts
• Mobile Sasa — our SMS provider, to deliver notifications
• Authorities — when required by Kenyan law or a court order

We never sell your personal information.

5. Data retention

We keep escrow records for as long as needed to operate the service and comply with legal and tax obligations. Transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping.

6. Your rights

Under the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)

We are in the process of registering with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). Once registered, you will also be able to lodge a complaint with the ODPC.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures. Your data is stored in secure Cloudflare infrastructure, and payment processing is handled by licensed payment partners. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
